Dear Reader,
Times of crisis offer a unique opportunity for the Church to show up to serve each other and our communities.

To help Christian leaders during this time of unprecedented disruption, we’re launching a free toolkit, the ChurchPulse Weekly. These tools are part of our continuing project, the State of the Church 2020.

The ChurchPulse Weekly will equip you with leadership insights and help you stay connected to the hearts of the people in your church–especially now during this period of social distancing.

Check out key features of the toolkit in the video below, including a set of survey tools that give you the ability to see clearly how your people are doing in major areas like their relationships, spiritual growth, finances, work and emotional and physical health. Plus you can add up to 10 of your own custom questions.

As church leaders, it’s hard for us not to see people face to face each week, and these tools won’t replace that. But they will give you insights into how your people are doing and allow you to respond more compassionately and effectively.

All these resources are free and available today at

Also, starting Monday, March 23, we will launch a weekly live video podcast where we will discuss the latest research findings with author, speaker and podcaster–and my dear friend–Carey Nieuwhof. These discussions will include weekly guests and experts to help us process the present crisis and how churches can respond to it. The conversations will be published each Thursday as a podcast titled, ChurchPulse Weekly.

I hope you’ll join Carey and me on Monday, March 23 at 12pm PST at ChurchPulseWeekly.com for our first live podcast and that these new tools will be helpful to you.

Standing together,

David Kinnaman
